• Daily writing prompt
How do significant life events or the passage of time influence your perspective on life?

The passage of time is a fascinating thing. On a daily basis, it may seem like not much changes, almost as if we’re on a predictable schedule. However, upon reflecting on the past year or a few years, it becomes evident just how much can change in a relatively short time. Personally, I enjoy documenting these significant changes through diary entries or journaling. Whether they are small victories or major milestones, I make it a point to jot them down (in a notebook or in my Notes app). This practice allows me to look back on these moments and be reminded of all that I have accomplished and how far I have come.

  • It’s been a while since I last updated this blog.

I’m still very much still in the Drupal space, with my current job working with Drupal on a daily basis. I feel like I’ll always be a Drupal fan for the rest of my life.

I’d like to explore other areas that have piqued my interest as of late including Python and game development. So maybe expect a bit of that sprinkled in future posts.

In the meantime, enjoy a completely revamped theme I selected that I think reflects the name of this blog the best.

    Take care.

  • I decided to renew my Drupal Association Individual membership today. Yay! I definitely think it’s great to support an amazing open source CMS.

Drupal 9 came out last week (hooray!), and I have already set up a bare-bones Drupal 9 website for development/testing purposes and to learn new techniques in site-building and front-end development. I haven’t used Drupal in a little while, so I’m hoping to use the Drupal 9 site I set up as a sort of sandbox and testing space to experiment with different techniques.

A round-up of some of the things I have been up to recently:

    • In April, I updated my online portfolio website with a light/dark mode button. I wanted to implement the button on my portfolio website as a functionality for those who prefer dark mode on websites.
    • I did a little 10 days of Code project in April to experiment and build on my web development skills – a selection of some of the things I developed can be found under the ‘Projects’ section of my portfolio website.
    • From April to May, I got a Drupal Association Individual membership to support Drupal.org. It’s an amazing open source CMS that I would like to get back into in the near future in terms of developing a career specialising in Drupal.

  • I just deployed my first React app onto my GitHub website using Terminal, yay!! It can be found in the link below, if anyone is interested:

Click here for my React app (link will open in a new tab/window)

It was pretty easy to deploy through a simple Google search 🙂

I’m hoping to work on something new every week to keep up my coding/development skills.

    Stay tuned!

    Happy Chinese New Year!

    Today:

    • First time in deploying a React blog onto Netlify through my terminal, it was a success!
    • Updated my portfolio with some new projects I’ve been working on.
    • Going to do some Drupal stuff, I haven’t worked in Drupal for ages and thought I might get back into it.

I’ve been working on a couple of things, which is why I’ve been missing in action as of late.

December has been a busy month, and we’re almost at the end of 2019! I feel like this year has gone by so quickly, and I’ve barely had the time to reflect on what I’ve achieved in the last 11 months or so.

I’ve been updating my portfolio with a some new/updated projects, and just working on my portfolio in general. One of them is my Weather App, which can be viewed below if your keen to see the end result:

I completed a short online course in Business Analytics and I found it quite informative and definitely useful. I’m hoping to do more self-study in the coming year to up-skill and learn more.

I got my Hacktoberfest t-shirt and stickers!! I was really excited when they arrived. I love the design of the t-shirt more in person than what I had seen online.
